Chapter 12 – Here Come the Boys</u>

Zexion sat at his desk tapping away at his laptop; it was after two in the morning but Zexion was wide awake. Roxas was fast asleep under Zexion duvet, Zexion smiled inwardly and turned back to the screen. A small window was open and on it was the web cam feed from his dad.

.:Zex:.  says:  So you’ll meet us there?
Cid says: Yes, my flight arrives half an hour before you. I will meet you in the airport and we will go down together.
.:Zex:.  says: how long does it take to get from china?
Cid says: about 5 hours
.:Zex:.  says: okay, I’m going to bed, I’m tired and its late
Cid says: no problem, say hello to your mother for me?
.:Zex:.  says: yea, no problem see you later
Cid says: bye
.:Zex:.  says: bye

Zexion shut off his laptop and shuffled into bed beside Roxas, Roxas rolled over still asleep and cuddled into him. Zexion smiled again and fell asleep instantly.

School seemed quieter now that a new year had started; Riku had gone to the local university which thankfully for Rinoa still meant she got to spend time with him. It had almost been six months for Roxas and Zexion and both were extremely happy. Roxas had been accepted into Zexion’s family and even allowed to join them on their spring break holiday in a few months time.

Demyx jumped across Zexion who was sat in thought in the empty common room, it was the last lesson of the day and Zexion was waiting or Roxas, currently in his History lesson.
“What’s up?” Demyx said swinging his legs around off Zexion’s into the seat next to him.
“Nothing just tired.” Zexion smiled.
“Up late again?”
“Talking to my dad about Austria.”
“That’s ages away!”
“I know but as usual he likes to be prepared.”
“I can’t wait like, it’s going to be great!”
“I know, Sora’s going with you right?”
“Yea! Does your mum know that they’re twins?”
“I don’t think so, she’s not met Sora, and she only met Roxas just before we started going out.”
“It’s going to be great!”
“I know, but there’s plenty beforehand.”
“Oh yes! I’m so excited, it’s gonna be a great day!”
“I still don’t know what to get you?” Zexion queered.
“I told you I don’t want anything!”
“But you’re gonna be 18!”
“So?!”
“Aww come on man!”

Demyx sat in thought, Zexion looked at him and began laughing. Demyx looked back at him and puffed himself up to yell at him to stop laughing when Sora and Roxas came in giving both boys an instant distraction from each other.

“You’re out early?” Zexion said to them as they sat down with them.
“Yea, you ready to go?” Roxas asked.
“Yup!”
“Yea!”

The four boys collected their things and signed out, they headed out into the car park across to a mall silver car which belonged to and was driven by Sora. Demyx naturally took the passenger seat while Roxas and Zexion clambered in the back. Sora drove across out of town coming up onto the bypass. Demyx turned on the radio and loud rock music began to blast out.

“Turn it down a bit Dem!” Sora called focusing on the road.
“Sure.” Demyx fiddled with the controls for a moment, they drove on into the city centre, which was bustling with activity, and shoppers were everywhere. Sora found a space to park and the four boys wandered along the street.

“Where are we meeting?” Roxas asked taking Zexion's hand in his own.
“That little pizza shop on Grainger.” Demyx replied.
“Just around the corner” Zexion commented. The boys turned the street corner and headed towards a small slightly worn looking shop. Outside, standing against the wall was a tall silver haired boy listening to an mp3 player. He spotted the four boys coming towards him and smiled turning the player off as he did.

“Hey!”
“What’s up!”
They greeted Riku with enthusiasm before entering the shop. They ordered pizzas and sat at a table in the corner facing out to the street. The boys chatted animatedly as they ate recapping old times and planning for new, particularly the skiing trip they were waiting to go on.

“You’re sure you can’t come?” Demyx asked slightly down.
“Yea I have all my modulus exams that week, a real pain!” Riku groaned.
“That's a bummer.” Zexion said finishing the last of his drink.
“And I’ve got break year interviews the week after so it gets even better!”
“What are you actually going to be doing?” asked Zexion.
“Working with a law firm for a year, to help me decide which category I want to specialize in my second year.”
“Awesome” said Sora
“Boring”
“Why?” Zexion asked.
“Meh”
